Crafted entirely from bamboo and cotton, the Kings Bamboo Cotton Buds and Case are an environmentally friendly alternative to the plastic cotton buds to which we are accustomed. Biodegradable and efficient in gently cleaning the skin of make-up, unwanted dirt or bodily perspiration; each cotton bud has a bamboo rod with cotton-tipped ends and every one is entirely organic. The reusable bamboo case is a highly polished container with a secure slide on lid that keeps your cotton buds safe and free of external bacteria. Initially invented by Leo Gerstenzang in 1923 the cotton bud is a creation inspired by Gerstenzang’s wife who applied cotton to the ends of toothpicks. Eventually, after much re-naming, they became known as ‘Q-tips’ as a trademark then more known in the USA as cotton swabs and cotton buds in the UK. Due to the extensive plight of plastic pollution, cotton buds have now begun to evolve from plastic into the biodegradable form we provide here at Kings of the Forest.
